Catarina Hrotkó

My name is Catarina Hrotkó, I’m 27 years old and I live in Lisbon. 

I am a person of multiple interests: I love video games, music, cinema and animation, but I have always had an intimate and special relationship with languages, literature and communication as I believe there’s no better way to build bridges between people of different disciplines and to get to know the Other than through them.

Summarily, I would describe myself as an optimistic and hands-on kind of person who’s constantly looking for fun, challenging and creative ways to overcome obstacles.

I took a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Foreign Languages in Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon) where I studied German, Spanish and English and continued my journey towards a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences.

I worked for several years in the Marketing area: as a Communications Specialist, Copywriter, Change Manager and Innovation consultant, while also working as a freelance translator.

Now I begin a new chapter as a Portuguese Teacher, hoping to share all my knowledge, experience and passion regarding the Portuguese Language and Culture.
